Ben doing some work on the 03 636.

So far: tune up,lots of cleaning, and a GPR 8 way.

Bought but not on: Set of Pilot Powers, EBC brake pads all the way around, Brake fluid flush, HMF pipe (should be here Wed), new wheel bearings and seals.

Deciding on: FI cage or SI,905 Upper stay, what gearing thinking up 5 maybe 6, aftermarket clip ons (want somehting for a better ridding position but I wont have to cut my upper), painting or powdercoating the wheels/what color.

So far I've spent most of the time cleaning it and tinkering with it here and there. I ran a compression test the second week I had it and thought the motor was a little on the sick side. Keep in mind I did the test on a very cold day and didnt have my heater on. The biggie here I didnt warm/start the bike prior to the test.

Today I ran the test again, but... I started the bike and let it run for a good ten minutes prior to pulling the tank and air box. I also had my propane heater blasting. I did the test again! This time I was happy with the numbers.

After that I yanked the valve cover to adust the valves. The valve cover in the bike was a bitch!!!!!! But I got it off and didnt hurt anything. I was going to pull the gurdle but the phone rang. My buddy was supposed to come over with a shim kit , but he had to reschedule for the following week... So back together everything went and next week I'll be adjusting the valves. (Turning into a pro taking shit off this bike).

Called Austin at HMF today and payed for my pipe. He said I should have it Wed, well maybe Thurs since the weather is going to shit white stuff on us tomorrow.

Cant wait to ride this thing, come on spring!!!

Lol... I was gonna use it as a scrap bar (just kidding). I just cant decide what to go with back there. Its definitly comming off though.
